Terms of use

SlashNijo lets you save snippets and insert them by typing // in a text field. The website playground is a demo in your browser. The extension is the product you install in Chrome.

You can use // without an account. An account is optional and exists so your library can sync and survive a new browser.

You own the text you put in snippets. You grant us a limited licence to store, sync, and display that text as needed to provide the service you asked for. We do not claim ownership of your signatures, emails, or other snippet bodies.

You are responsible for what you store. Do not put content you do not have the right to use. Do not use SlashNijo to insert malware, phishing, or anything illegal.

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us if you think it was used without you.

If you connect Google, you also agree to Google's terms for that sign-in.

The Free plan is the plan that is on today. It includes 25 snippets. Typing // itself is not blocked if you reach the cap.

Pro features listed on the pricing page are on the roadmap. They are not a promise of a date or a price until we open billing. If paid plans launch, extra terms will be added here.

Chrome will ask for permission to run on websites you visit. That is so // can work in the field you are typing in. We do not use that permission to scrape sites or to inject ads.

The extension talks to the SlashNijo website to count usage and, if you sign in, to sync. Uninstalling stops the content script. Optional uninstall feedback is described in the privacy policy.

• Do not attack, scrape in bulk, or overload the service.
• Do not impersonate others or create accounts for abuse.
• Do not reverse engineer the service except as the law allows.
• Do not use the product in a way that breaks the law where you are.

We can suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms.

The service is provided as is. SlashNijo may change, break, or stop. We do not warrant that expansions will always fire on every website. Some pages lock down fields or shadow DOM in a way we cannot reach.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost snippet libraries, missed inserts, or indirect damages. For consumers in the EEA, nothing here limits rights you cannot waive, including liability for intent or gross negligence.

You can stop anytime: uninstall the extension, stop using the site, and ask us to delete an account. We can stop offering the product, with notice on the website when we can.

These terms are governed by the law that applies to the operator of SlashNijo, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rules where you live.
