Time saved
Every insert counts. The popup shows uses, and an estimate of the typing those inserts replaced.
The popup has two numbers: how many times snippets were inserted, and the time saved. A snippet row shows the same pair once it has been used, for example 3× · 12s.
How the estimate is made
SlashNijo assumes 60 words per minute, and 5 characters per word. That is 200 milliseconds per character. It subtracts the shortcut you actually typed: the two slashes, the letters after them, and Enter.
A short snippet can save nothing if it is shorter than the shortcut. The estimate never goes below zero. It is a typing estimate, not a clock of how long you spent in the field.
Where the numbers live
Uses are stored with the library. Signed in, they sync with the snippets. Signed out, they stay on this device, with everything else in Without an account.
The popup chart keeps the last 7 days on this device. Signed in, the same inserts stay on the account. Open Stats to see uses and time saved over 30 days, 90 days, a year, or all time.
Write it once. Type // forever.
Install the extension. The same shortcuts work in every tab.
