DocsInsertText fields
Text fields
SlashNijo opens in the field you are typing in: text areas, contenteditable editors, and common text inputs.
mail.google.com
Type // where you already write. The menu is anchored to the caret. It works in the page and in iframes, including editors that keep their text inside a shadow tree.
Where the menu opens
- Text areas.
- Fields marked as editable, the kind Notion, Gmail, and Slack use.
- Inputs of type text, search, url, email, and tel.
Fields it leaves alone
- Password, number, date, and other inputs that are not plain text.
- Read-only or disabled fields.
- Fields that are hidden, or smaller than a few pixels.
If nothing opens
- The extension has to be installed and allowed on the site.
- The caret has to be in a field from the list above. A password box will not open the menu.
//#is a Pro filter. On Free it does not open the snippet list. Use//or emoji with//:.- If the key uses a character that is not a letter, number,
-, or_, the snippet menu does not treat it as a key. See Keys.
Write it once. Type // forever.
Install the extension. The same shortcuts work in every tab.
